Ingrown Toenails

Ingrown toenails are a very common problem that we see in our office. They usually are presented with pain, redness, and swelling on the side of the toe caused by the corner of the nail entering the skin. The main cause of that is the nail has been cut improperly, leaving a sharp nail that penetrates the skin when the nail grows. We educate patients on how to cut their nails properly. Also, we offer a procedure in the office where we can remove the corner of the nail that has grown into the skin with quick recovery time.
